Astrology has always been an interesting topic. Whether you follow it religiously, or read your horoscope for fun. There is a definite entertaining aspect to it. Although, even reading your sign as entertainment, there are some attributes that seem more than coincidental.
Pisces is the twelfth star sign. Symbolised by the two fish swimming in different directions. Pointing to devising a plan or proposal, only to go in the opposite direction. It also connotes a sort of tension between two ideas. It's almost like a Piscean is faced with two different cakes. Reaching for one cake initially, but ultimately eating the other.
Seen as a Mutable sign, Pisces is the bridge between the seasons of winter and spring. Moveable and malleable, being Mutable sees Pisces reflecting on options. Superficially unpredictable, when really Pisces is not. In wanting one thing, Pisces will switch over to the other option.
At first, Pisces was governed by Jupiter. Yet, since its discovery, Pisces has been overseen by Neptune. To Romans, Neptune was the God of the Sea. Idealism and compassion runs deep with Neptune, and with Pisces as a result. On the other side, deception, illusion and confusion riddle Neptune and Pisces. Sometimes seen with the notions of hypnotism. Like the first cake, before deciding on the better one.
Pisceans are seen as the poets of the Zodiac. Which is appropriate, seeing as poetry allows them to explore both directions of an idea. Poetry, or other forms of writing, permits Pisceans to explore their idealistic and very much escapist view of life and the world. Such as view is also seen as being its own downfall.
Pisces contains a downside, like anything else. Being an emotional star sign, those same emotions are wavering between two sides. As a water sign, Pisces has emotions that run as deep as a river. Alas, this allows room for empathy and understanding beyond comparisons. Behind the indecisiveness comes a deep emotional vein.
This leads into the fact that Pisces is a Water sign. Forever in constant flow, like water itself. Shifting from one spot to another. It is no wonder why Pisceans shift from one option to the opposite. After all, emotions are like water. Shifting all over the place. Pisces represents the essence of this.
With such emotion, is there any star sign that is compatible with Pisces? Of course. Although Pisceans need encouragement in their artistic endeavours, and whatnot. But other Water signs (Scorpio and Cancer) provide solace for them. Earth signs are also compatible with Pisces, for they ground the emotional fluidity.
To conclude, Pisces shows the conflict of two emotional choices. Whatever their choice, you know it is the right one. Seeming to be flaky, a Piscean has more hidden layers than ever perceived.
